The Confirmation program at Our Savior’s is about youth developing their faith so they can make a public affirmation of that faith in the congregation. Confirmation is not a sacrament, and is not required. It is our hope that by the time youth are confirmed, they are making a profession of faith, not undergoing a rite of passage.
The program begins in 3rd grade and culminates in 11th grade. If you or your child is not in confirmation and would like to join, contact the church office or one of the pastors. We’d love to have you. Here is what happens for each grade:
3rd grade – Parents meet with pastors to discuss confirmation.
Children receive their own Bible and become confirmation students.
Students meet with pastors during Sunday School to learn about worship.
4th grade – Students and parents attend a family event on the Bible.
Students take turns cleaning the pews for Sunday services.
